And so the endless plotting has culminated on the day of the beach wedding itself. We have tirelessly talked about the ultimate problems that could come raining on your parade, from the location, the food and the small glitches that could happen (if the great earth machine decides to fool around on your beach wedding). The mantra should be: We cannot be more armed.
Because every beach bride has vowed to showcase the famed “glow of the bride” when her wedding day arrives, a wardrobe malfunction can make her flushed with frustration. Even if it’s just a mini dress, take extra care in transporting it to the beach wedding location. Unsightly creases, stains or frays will not look pretty on anyone, especially on photographs. Upon arriving to the beach wedding location, run a thorough inspection. This way, all the necessary dry cleaning service or repairs will be done before the wedding day itself. And since we cannot be more armed, every beach bride should have an emergency tote that contains a sewing kit, stain remover, medicine, safety pins and all Girl Scout preparedness fare.
Beach bride, never starve yourself. We acknowledge that this day can get pretty busy and nerve racking, but please don’t forget to eat! There is nothing funnier than the bride passing out before her wedding. The weather and temperature can change drastically in a heartbeat, so don’t forget to hydrate. The celebratory mood can get us carried away, but at all costs avoid getting drunk before the party has even begun. Whoever told this girl that alcohol rehydrates?
Unlike human beings, our skin does not think or try to process the obvious. The skin manifests resistance to abusive conditions early on. The skin can break out or develop a rash depending on its tolerance to any changes in weather. It would help if we look back on our history whenever we are in the same weather and temperature as our beach wedding location, so we could avert or at least control skin emergencies. Breaking out in hives is not cool and it doesn’t matter if photo editing has come a long way. Of course the beach bride wants to look amazing on her beach wedding, and any skin emergency can totally hamper one’s confidence.
It is almost critical to have conducted a test makeup and hairstyle session beforehand. This is no problem if we’re flying in our favorite stylist or makeup artist. But how about if we just wanted this certain look copied at the local salon? We can’t take that much risk; this is not the time to experiment. Women can get pretty scary when frustrated and this is not the time to showcase that trait.
It cannot be more stressed that the beach bride cannot be more armed. We’re guessing no one’s about to challenge this on beach wedding day, right? However, we should not transform into paranoid creatures just because we want everything to be perfect on our wedding day. Stress can be eased with a calm, peaceful mind that is open to spontaneity.
